Exciting Comeback to Blogging, It’s Monday FUN-day!

Hello, my name is Marivic Gallimore, the Founder-CEO of Elegance by Marivic LLC. Allow me to share with you a little intro about myself. No doubt, I am very blessed, a successful entrepreneur, AAWP certified wedding and event planner, Passionate, Mentor, Visionary, Traveler, Publisher, Show Producer and Hard working. These are quite an understatement to say the least, but most of my colleagues will tell you about me as Ambitious, Big Dreamer, Love Life, Happy Wife, A Believer, to name a few. I started my wedding planning consultation business in 2009 and has since coordinated successful events for the local wedding business community. With my leadership, I am proud to have led as the President-founder of a local non-profit organization, a very exceptional event planning team providing local bridal shows since the Fall of 2010, with 2 shows every year thereafter up until the Winter/Spring show in 2017; sponsored and coordinated the annual Make-A-Wedding Wish Come True Project, 2010-Present; helped raised over $26,000 to a charitable cause for Brides Against Breast Cancer in 2014-15; and published our local wedding magazine, we’ve launched in Spring 2013 with the most current edition of Virginia is for Weddings, now available to our clients, digital and print publication.

Welcome to My New Blog: It’s Monday FUN-day! I am super excited about this new series, which will appear every Monday for my faithful followers! Monday, believe it or not, is one of my favorite days of the week: Things are fresh in my mind. It’s a NEW WEEK with NEW BEGINNINGS. That’s one of the reasons my networking group meets on the first Monday of every month.

This is my debut, my exciting comeback to blogging. After a long, well-earned break, and a lengthy absence, I am all the more motivated, pumped, recharged and re-focused. After reading articles from  expert bloggers, and those who are just starting out as beginners, I found that there is no “right way” to approach blogging.

So I am encouraged! I love writing for myself and my followers. One of my mentor’s says, “Write it down and keep it short and interesting.” For that reason, my next blogs will focus on tips to revamp your blogging capabilities and “how to” get back to it if you’ve let it go by the wayside.

I will also share with you my experiences as a “traveling” event planner, and tips to increase your ROI (return on investment) for wedding pros.

“Write for yourself first & foremost. Ignore the fact that anyone else will read what you write; just focus on your thoughts, ideas, opinions and figure out how to put those into words”. Write it and they will come, according to Adii Pienaar,  founder of PublicBeta.

New to blogging? Thinking about starting your own blog? The secret is: Write for Yourself. Here’s more tips that I found helpful as I was preparing for this blog: visit https://blog.bufferapp.com/blogging-advice-for-beginners-from-16-experts written by Belle Beth Cooper, follow her @bellebcooper.
